Warning Notes: Handle removal carefully—take your time when removing the OEM ring or the 3D printed Cupholder Extender, as breaking a clip could leave plastic debris stuck in the cupholder valley. Clear all debris in the valley before installing. Removing the extender part from the OEM cupholder carries a high risk of breaking the back two locking clips due to how the part is printed. Breaking these two clips won't affect function—the part will still lock securely using the front 4 clips. However, if you break 2 or more of the front 4 clips, we'll provide a free replacement within 30 days of purchase or case by case basis. For contex there are 6 clips total.  

I highly recommend that you use a old credit card or similar pry tool and carefully work your way from the back first, the back side is the opposite side of the spring loaded part.
